St Boswells Live! is excited to be playing host to one of the finest fiddlers in the Borders on June 24th. Kelso-based Carly Blain and her partner Graeme Armstrong from Jedburgh perform traditional Scottish and Irish tunes and songs with great arrangements, dexterity and passion.
Like many of the most exciting emerging folk acts, Carly is a graduate of the Folk and Traditional Music course at Newcastle University. She regularly performs with the Monster Ceilidh Band who last year performed throughout Britain, in Russia and a world music festival in Borneo and Malaysia! This year she is performing in many Scottish and English festivals and looking forward to playing St Boswells Live!
Graeme Armstrong has just finished a degree in furniture craftsmanship but has found that his true passion is in music. He has formed his style from influences in Glasgow’s contemporary folk scene and, following in Carly’s footsteps, is about to start the Folk and Traditional Music course in Newcastle.
